I have stated how undomestic I am. So I am always thrilled when I find ways to do things faster, better etc. So I was thrilled with this tip I found in the Chicago Tribune, probably sometime in January?.
I am so undomestic I made a huge mess in my microwave cooking something to high, so I needed to clean it and this did the trick! Since it was oh at least 3-4 weeks after I made the mess and it was dried on and gross.
Fill a Pyrex container (I used as recomended the 4-cup measuring cup) most of the way with water. Add a squirt of dishwashing liquid. Microwave it for 2-3 minutes to get the water really hot, then let sit for a little bit. The soapy steam makes it a snap to take a papertowel and wipe off the microwave.
And it worked! The one spot that was dried and guynky came off with a little dip in the already hot soapy water! One more thing done faster!
