Wednesday Words of Wisdom and Semi-Wordless Wednesday

For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin- real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time to be served and a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life

- Father Alfred Souza

I drive by this quaint old cemetery at least twice a day. This tombstone is in the front row (closest to the road) and catches my eye every single time. It makes me he pointing up, that's where I'm at? Is he saying he's #1 and this is his everlasting foam finger to the world? I t leaves me filled with lots of questions and no answers, much like my current mental/life state. It also makes me smile. He either had a sense of humor or was very confident and sure of himself to put this on his tombstone while those around him just wrote their names. He stands out in the crowd and he does it in a subtle way with out offending or stepping on toes, without being in your face. Your free to interpret he thoughts however you want...there is a life lesson in that.
