{This post is being brought to you today by Liz from Loving Mom 2 Boys}
Childhood is...
...Dancing like no one is watching,
...and looking at the world in whole new ways
Childhood is...
so exhausting...
..sometimes the large coffee isn't enough.
Childhood is...
...full of wonder...
...and discovery...
...and sometimes a little danger.
Chlidhood is living every moment
for the moment
and sometimes for the candy.
Its about finding joy in the everyday
and excitement in the mundane.
Its about boundless energy
and endless noise.
Its about loving and being loved,.
Motherhood is...
...sweating buckets while bundling up little bodies
...doing what needs to be done to provide...
...and embarassing our children along the way
Motherhood is accepting the fact...
...that if we want a picture of ourself,
we will have to take it ourself,
and share the picture even though we look
this good.
Motherhood is...
...hanging the artwork on the wall...
...and knowing that sometimes...
they are the artwork.
Motherhood is the most thankless,
and yet most rewarding job,
it is not 9 - 5,
there is no handbook,
and there is no vacation.
Its knowing when to say no
and when to say yes
Its letting little fingers lick the batter bowl
and accepting sticky thank you kisses.
Motherhood is terrifying, and thrilling,
better than any rollercoaster,
scarrier than any horror movie,
and grosser than any slime filled event on TV.
Motherhood is simply the best thing I have ever done with my life,
and every time think about my two little boys
{who are too quickly growing}
I know there are at least two things in my life that I have done right.
Thank you Melissa for asking me to guest post for you today!!
{ok...you didn't so much as ask ME, but you were kind enough to indulge me after I begged :) }
I hope I did't scare anyone away.
And I hope you are having a fabulous time with your family!!
