Wake up, stumble from bed, drag my body down the hall.
Found dropped lovie on the floor, hand to child, kiss the baby on the head.
Close the door, glance at the clock, it's only 5oclock.
Tip toe down the stairs, pour the coffee and take a drink.
Sit down, open e-mail take a glance at Twitter and FB.
Start to write, hear a grumble, hear a meow, everyone is hungry now.
Feed the cat. Send hubs to work, kiss, kiss.
Toast pops, before I take a bite....
Bounce up the stairs, please don't wake your brother.
To late, he's up and growls.
Get up, change your pull ups, head downstairs. It's time to eat.
We're out of waffles.
I'm sorry, I know it's sad,

Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock.
Get these kiddos in the tub
Wrestle wet kids, covered in soap to try to rinse their hair
Okay! up to bed!

Good night, I love you!
One more kiss upon the head.
Down the stairs,
in the tub,
wine in my hand.

Very cool poem! and very honest! wow I am tired just reading that!
I think that was awesome. I can't imagine anyone doing a better job.
Don't sell yourself short, that was incredible. You really are very talented. I also did get tired reading it. Good job!
Love how you end the day with wine in your hand! One of my favorite bloggers(is there any mommy out there?) once did a thing where she had one of those clickers on her all day and she clicked it every time one of her kids said mommy. It was hilarious.
Oh it all sounded so familiar! It's much less poetic when you're living it - but they say ONE DAY we'll look back on all of this and long for its simplicity.
It doesn't look that simple on paper, does it?
So good! I loved the ending. Funny!
Wonderful. And, spot on. I think you did a great job.
