The Sunday Morning Post*

* a little later than morning this wee. Blame the laptop dying when it was a beautiful day outside.

Get a comfy chair and a nice hot cup of coffee as we browse through another edition of the The Sunday Morning Post.  What section of the paper do you start with? I like the Sunday magazine the best, especially when it's the garden issues full of beautiful flowers.

The Sunday Funnies:

The Art Section

I have always been told I was artistic. I consider myself for crafty than artistic. Some call me creative. I want to be better at all of it. I am getting better at photography but I don't really know what I'm doing, it's just luck. Some people tell my I'm a good writer but I don't really know what I'm doing just barfing thoughts on a page. See I feel like I have an artistic eye buried deep down in side me and I want to hone it. It's one of the reasons I love participating in MamaKat's Writer's Workshop. It forces me to think through my writing form ideas and not just barf on a page.

Maegan is so creative. In the short time I have known her and seen her pictures she has inspired me. She is hosting a Creativity Boot Camp. I don't know what to expect, but it can only be good, I hope you will join me! It's 2 weeks (June 6-18), it's online and it's free!

The Lifestyle Section

The Fashion Section

The Business Section

I'm starting something new and exciting with some fabulous, wonderful, intelligent, and creative women and I can't wait to share it with you! I am excited for this new adventure!

Also, I'm going to the Casual Blogger Conference next week! I can't believe it. So if posting is a little scattered and this week and next., please don't leave me! I am hoping to come back brimming with ideas and stories!

The Book Section

If you have told me 10 years ago I would have anything to do with writing I would have laughed in your face. So would my English major roommate who proofed all my papers. It's really been an amazing journey yo "find my voice" and realize how therapeutic is it for me. On a whim, at the last minute I submitted a piece for an anthology that was being printed to raise money for children's charities. I didn't think anything would come of it. Something did! I am going to be published, in a real book, with paper and pages. I just ordered my pre-sale copy and I am so giddy with excitement!

It's called: "From the Heart: A Collection of Stories and Poems from the Front Lines of Parenting" as soon as I get the details on the pre-sale I will be sharing it with all of you.

Home and Garden

I planted a butterfly garden this week. It give me lots of hope.  I am also working on making these for end of year teacher gifts. A little cheesy but my son loved them, I am sure his teacher will too (lambs is in the name of the school). I am also trying to get all the laundry done and put away and the house cleaned so I don't get a call while I'm away asking where X, Y or Z is.

Letters to the Editor

The best comment this week from Hyacynth:

Oh, friend, I know what you mean. I wonder the same time when I'm bellowing "no!" across the house 20 times per day. I think, what happened to that person? Where did she go?
Why? Because when I first wrote the post I was thinking of it truly as fiction. Cinderella is just like the rest of us, and we are just like her. Inside we are all princess and even princess are insecure and have to clean the house. Just a funny piece of fiction. It took a friends comment to see that I was writing from inside the glass slipper and it was more than fiction. Thank you friend.

I feel so honored! And excited. I made the paper TWICE this week! TWICE! And for the best thing, too: being the best comment! I feel like I should call my mom; she'd be really proud. :)

I think you need a society page, where you tell all about your friends. For instance, I had a dinner party last week, and would be glad to supply the guest list, menu, what I wore, and description of the flowers. (my next door neighbors, pizza and beer, capri pants that immediately got a big cheese stain, and a bunch of daisies from the grocery...)molly
