We interrupt this Fab Friday with a very special announcement.
I have been alluding to something big being announced for awhile now, what can I say I'm a tease. Well today is the day that I get to announce it! (in a little, bit, read more first!)
I started blogging 5 years ago, which is like decades ago in blog years. I was inspired by CMB and Stephanie and so I started one (not this one). But I didn't really get it. It wasn't my voice, it was just a persona I had created and eventually I stopped and deleted the site.
Fast forward a few year and I find myself newly transplanted to suburbia. It was like being a new mom again in a strange new place where I didn't know anyone and I wasn't quiet sure how to fit into this new life. I had been writing for a newsletter and was getting positive feedback so I decided to start blogging again. Figuring it would, at best, be a way to stay in touch with my city friends and be a little snarky on my suburban adventures.
Funny how the path that you set out on doesn't always go the way you thought you were going. (much like many of these blasted, non grid system, suburban roads!)
I started to really enjoy writing and reading. I started connecting to other people. I started getting featured and I made friends. I had found a community inside my computer and it was amazing.
These people inspired me, and pushed me to stretch my mind and creativity and held me up in a time of crisis.
Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another, 'What! You too? I thought I was the only one.'" -C.S. Lewis
Yes, most certainty friendships have been formed!
That basis of Community and "I thought I was the only one" was at the root of a conversation I had with Hyacynth one day. How can we build on that? Foster that? She is so inspiring that sometimes her comments have better conversations than her posts (she would agree I'm not dissing her writing, which is fabulous!). I left her car feeling inspired by the conversation but not really knowing how to do anything about it. Which is why you make friends with people that are as smart and creative as Hyacynth. With her at the helm you can do a lot, and we plan to!
So, drum roll please, I would like to introduce to you:
We are a network of like-minded women, mothers, writers, & bloggers. Fulled by our insatiable desire to connect with other women, we have formed this group to expand and enrich our online communities. Together, we hope that you will join us in living life to the fullest, loving with our whole hearts, and writing about our journeys.
I have joined with some fabulous women on this endeavour and I want you to meet them, the founders of Bigger Picture Blogs:
Corinne of Trains, Tutus, & Tea Time
Hyacynth of Undercover Mother
Maegan of Life Set to Words
Sarah of This Heavenly Life
At the heart of this endeavour is community and fostering the conversations and friendships we have with you, the amazing people who come to our blogs and take time out of your day to read them! We would love to have you come join our Blog Frog Community and introduce yourself, start a conversation, jump in on the ones already going on! If you haven't heard about Maegan's Creativity Boot Camp, you should head over there and check it out, it's going to be fabulously inspirational and will stretch me in ways I have yet to see I am sure.
One of our goals is to remind ourselves and our readers to see the "Bigger Picture" in the little things in life. Whether it be driving in the slow lane or turning your realities into blessings. To foster this we will be starting a weekly link up once Creativity Boot Camp is over where you can link up your "Bigger Picture Moment".
I'm excited to start on this new adventure and I can't wait to take you along for the ride. I hope you will join us for inspiration and conversation!

Love this idea!
Yaaaayyy!!! So excited to be a part of this venture with you!
So I'm really stoked that we're in this adventure together and we can go to the park together and talk about life while the kids drench themselves in sand and water. That's pretty cool. So excited to meet new friends. :)
I love the idea behind this. I really do. I'd love to be way into it, but ... I'm so overbooked right now and am just falling further and further behind. Ummm time to focus on the bigger picture? ;)
Congrats on the new venture. I wish you much success and readership.
I really need a BlogFrog tutorial. Seriously. I just don't understand what it is. I'm going to go check it out now!
