I may have mentioned this here before by I am a life long, devoted, perpetual (read: unable to say no) volunteer. I started young, I was in first or second grade, and I have never stopped. When I was contacted by Beth and asked to submit a piece for a book they were putting together for charity, I couldn't say no. I never thought that I would actually get choosen, and now am going to be published!

I am giddy with excitment, not just because I am going to see my name, in print, on a book. I am also excited because all the proceeds of the book will be going to charity.
From the Heart: A Collection of Stories and Poems from the Front Lines of Parenting was created to raise money for children’s charities. With this collaborative effort, we will help every child get the medical care that they need and find cures for some of life’s most devastating diseases.

Wonderful shout out Melissa for this book -I need to do the same thing. I really really hope they do reach 10,000 books in sales as the proceeds will support such very worthy causes and I can't wait to get my very own copy and read all the stories from the other contributors!
