Welcome to Bigger Picture Moments where we share the harvest of intentional living by capturing a glimpse of the bigger picture through a simple moment. Your moment can be anything, a photo, a poem, a story, however you need to remind yourself to slow down and relish life.
Live. Capture. Share. Encourage.
----------------------------------
I don't have a Bigger Picture moment for you today. You see it finally looks like this:
So we've been doing less of this:
And more of this:
and this:
with a little bit of this:
and some of that:
oh and a few of these:
and lest you think it's all about the kids, we've been doing this:
Oh and there was a little of this, yes there was:
Oh and we have been doing a lot of cooking!
So you see, I simply have not had the time to sit down and ruminate on the lessons of life. I've been to busy living it.
I guess I have seen the Bigger Picture this week, through all these Simple Moments.
Oh and before you think I have had an idyllic summer, I wish I wrote this, so funny, so true, and pretty much the soundtrack to the above pictures.
Live.
Simply living, that’s my Simple Moment, Bigger Picture this week. What’s yours?

Feel the SAME way about all of this living -- good stuff, but not so good for trying to think about living. :)
beautiful pictures and post! I might have to try intentional living
I always have trouble keeping my blog up in the summertime...just too much living to do with my kids before they grow up! :)
Such perfect, summery pictures!
And now I want some sangria ;)
Think my OB would mind? If not for the alcohol, it'd be banned for sweetness. Double sigh.
I think you've nailed it here, Melissa: sometimes the easiest way to see the big picture is when we get busy living it.
Sometimes I worry that, through centering my creative life on writing, I spend too much time ruminating on life and not enough time living it. Thanks for the reminder of the importance of living these simple moments.
Looks like you've been all the best kinds of busy. :)
What a great lesson! Live life, don't always try to think about it. ;) Great pictures!
