Welcome to Bigger Picture Moments where we share the harvest of intentional living by capturing a glimpse of the bigger picture through a simple moment. Your moment can be anything, a photo, a poem, a story, however you need to remind yourself to slow down and relish life.

Bikes were brought out.
Dishes were forgotten.
To do lists ignored.
Need to do's, have to do's, want to do's were pushed aside.

Reading lessons were skipped in favor of riding lessons.
Lessons of focus, perseverance, and balance were taught literally to a 6year old and figuratively to two thirty somethings.

Beauty was seen in a field of "weeds"
and kisses were blown into the wind.
Time was taken to just be.
A family enjoying each other.
Learning lessons not from books but from LIFE.
From LIVING and LOVING.
Because the dishes, tha laundry, the lists.
The will be here tomorrow (and the next day and the next day),
But this?

This will be gone in the blink of an eye.
Live. Capture. Share. Encourage.

It was the frst warm and sunny night in a long time.
We fnished dinner early and despite being a school night headed outside to revel in the beauty of the late spring (that fogot to come) sun.

Bikes were brought out.

Need to do's, have to do's, want to do's were pushed aside.

we had a day like that here, too. it is so very good to be outside together. less fighting, less whining, less screen time--way more laughter and wonderful. love:)
Mmm...lovely. This is one of those moments I feel *tastes* good just reading about. Is that weird? I suppose that's my way of feeling a moment to savor.
What a beautiful post, days like that are meant to be treasured!
Great pictures! I love nights like that. I am trying to take advantage of those types of nights and go out for a long walk with my family. Its so refreshing!
Spring and summer evenings are so tempting, I often abandon the dirty supper dishes! They are something to look forward to when winter comes again. ;)
This is beautiful - "But this? This will be gone in the blink of an eye." I am still learning, but I know that one day my little ones will be grown with families of their own and I WILL MISS THIS. (http://tjsmhanesfamily.blogspot.com/2011/05/im-going-to-miss-this.html)
So beautiful!! This brought tears to my eyes. I've been trying to revel in a lot of those moments lately, too, because I'm starting to realize how quickly they will be gone!
