Dress Like a Girl {August Challenge Link up}

Before I get started with August Challenge I want to welcome my new co-host Kim, from Kim and Mikey got married! I hope you'll hope over and visit her too!

So the August Challenge was to wear a flirty skirt. I actually had two skirt days that I counted as flirty, but only got pictures of one (boo!).

Most people wouldn't consider such a long skirt flirty, but I do. See a long time ago in the land before kids I had a bit of a hippie streak to me. I think this secretly delighted my fairly conservative husband. The bare feet, the long skirts the dancing around without a care. We spent our summers at so many outdoor music festivals, seeing Dave Matthews, feet getting dirty in the grass.

This is a new skirt that makes us both remember those more carefree times.

It twirls and whirls around my legs and it's bright and happy and a little bit ragged. It clings to my hips just enough to show shape before, flaring out and swirling around pooling at my feet. It causes me to sashay through the house like sun rays bouncing around.

Sometimes less is more and sometimes the feeling an article of clothing gives you is just as important as it what it looks like.
