Catch {Five Minute Friday}
The moments flutter around and past me all day, every day. They shift and change but they are all around. Like the fall leaves falling all around me they are both bright and colorful as well as dark, dry and brittle. They are all make up the mosaic of me as much as the different leaves make up the mosaic of fall. Adding to the dimension the beauty that it is.
I watch them, focus on them trying to burn them into my memory. I try to grab on and catch them as the flutter by. They are fragile though. If you hold to tight they will dry and crumble in your hand. If you focus on one, the biggest, brightest, prettiest, you may miss out on the odd shaped beauties and the other not as brilliant colors.
The moments like the leaves all have their place and the trick is to take them in gently and with care so as to focus on one without disturbing or blocking the whole picture.

indeed, mel.
Great post!
"trying to burn them into my memory" - I wish there was a video camera on life. I forget so much, and wish I could remember it all. Those things you want to remember just seem to go by so fast.
