Have you heard? Bigger Picture Blogs is celebrating their second birthday! We plan to celebrate in our usual creativity pushing ways tomorrow, but today? Today we are going to celebrate with cake!
If I actually go to choose what I wanted for my birthday it would always be some kind of chocolate peanut butter deliciousness. However since I'm part of a family and according to my kids it's not a birthday if there's no cake most birthday's are celebrated with a more traditional cake, yellow cake chocolate frosting. Since this birthday is all my own, no kids involved, I celebrated with peanut butter goodness:
Two layers of delicious chocolate cake hugging peanut butter frosting topped with a cream cheese peanut butter frosting, chocolate drizzles and broken peanut butter cups. It was as decadent as it sounds!
Yum.
What's the recipe, oh umm, that...
1. Drive to your local Target store.
2. Head to the bakery.
3. Find cake
4. Walk to the nearest teller.
5. Purchase cake.
6. Go home and hide in the back of your fridge. (This step is very important b/c it makes it nice and cold and keeps the kids from finding it).
7. Once the kids are in bed pour yourself a nice glass of red wine, sit in a comfy chair and enjoy. Birthday candle optional.
This week is busy kid week and I have been swamped working on snacks for VBS. If it was a more normal week I would have made this:

Oh good gawd. Store bought or no, that looks amazing. Actually, ALL of those look amazing. And for the record, I do consider "making the trip to the store to buy the cake" the same as "making the cake." :)
You are my kind of girl. Don't have time to make one- BUY ONE. I do the very same. And I hide it, too. ;) For the first night at least.
DROOL. Oh, heavens. I'm going under...that looks like PERFECTION. I want. Do you think Target in Joplin has one, too? :)
Chocolate and peanut butter you say? We may be soul mates!
And now I officially miss eating dairy...this looks heavenly!
That is the best way to make a cake. Ever.
:)
Congrats on two years! I now want cake.
