Positive Energy {Bigger Picture Moments}

CreativeSoulWritingCircle

We all huddled around the old worn wooden table. Sunlight streaming in, coffee steaming. We all came for reasons that were different but the same.

To be filled.

To be lifted.

To be heard.

Women are not just creators they are servers. Weather married or single, a mother or childless women by nature tend to serve others. We are the ones our friends and family rely on to plan things, to lend an ear, to support them. All too frequently in the supporting of others we forget to reach out and get support, encouragement and listening ear ourselves.

It’s why a lot of us reach out online. We find communities of women that understand and can connect with us. It’s awesome, it’s wonderful, but there is something about looking a person in the eye. Seeing the emotion  the fear, the tears, the joy.

This weekend my online community came to life at Creative Soul

We shared stories.

We created art.

We filled each other with positive and encouraging energy. We filled each other up so we could go home and continue to fill up those around us.

I have carried the buzz form the room with me all week.

I can’t wait to do it again.

I am trying so hard to not be envious! But the Kansas commute would be a wee bit too much I am afraid.
