The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

For the first tim ein a few years I am super excited and looking forward to the holidays. Having a toddler at Chrismtas is such a delight as they look at everythign in awe and wonder, experienceing it for the first time.

I am usually a stickler for no Christmas music until after Thanksgiving, but this year I have been listening since the beginning of November! I'll admit Spotify is mostly to blame!

To help get you in the spirit here are my top Christmas playlists, perfect for whatever mood your in!

If you're in a jazzy mood, piano, horns etc. this is my playlist. A litle old, Louis Armstrong & Ella Fitzgerald. A little new, Harry Connick Jr. and Michael Buble.

From Alita is a mix of a little classic, think Vivaldi and the Vienna Boys Choir, mixed with a whole lotta motown and Detroit rock.

I found this one from Hyacynth, it's made my Universial Music an it's just a great (long) list of exactly what it says Christmas Classics old and new from Dean Martin and Bing Crosby to U2 and Jon Bon Jovi.

This playlist from Brandie is what I would call peaceful Christmas. Lots of Mannheim Steamroller and other classic Christmas carols.

Beth created this play list for a holiday shoot she was doing anf it's totally fun, festive and upbeat!

Erin's playlist is my most favorite and the very first I subscribed to, in fact I'm pretty sure it's how and why I jumped into the Spotify pool. It's retro kitschy cool and makes want to don a full skirt and apron and dance around the kitchen while making cookies (in heels and pearls no less!)

While all these playlists get you in the holiday spirit I'll hope you join us starting next wek for 'Twas the wrtite before Christmas. 12 days of seasonal inspied prompts to get you in the spirit and give you five minutes of creativity during a hectic season. Below are the prompts and starting on Monday a new image (to go with each prompt) will be put up at Bigger Picture Blogs.
