Growing Pains { #BPMoments }

Welcome to Bigger Picture Moments!
Taking time to revel in the simple moments.
The linky is open at the end!

When my son was younger he used to wake up with growing pains in his legs. There’s not much you can do for growing pains. We would hold him and love him, rub his legs so he felt warmed and touched and remind him to relax, pray and try to drift back off to sleep.

I’m 35 weeks pregnant, baby is breech..
PBbaby will be 2 in 2 weeks.
I’m growing, she’s growing, our family is growing, ‘business; is growing there is a lot of growth going on. With growth comes the occasional growth pains.

Their head, I’m assuming from the hard roundness of it, pushes and pokes out from my stomach like a tennis ball, small, hard but gives to pressure. It’s not comfortable and I frequently have to just sit back {or do yoga}  and let him/her get into a better position before going on. Sometimes I go a few hours without being able to bend over, not always ideal when you have a 2 year old.

I was trying to bathe PBbaby and the baby had shifted and the head was again pushing out. Being 2 she wanted to do what she wanted to do when and how she wanted to do it. It was an uncomfortable battle that I am sure I should have had more patience through. PBbaby abruptly stopped fighting and rested her head on my belly, I could wash her now.

Her head rested against the babies poking out - while not comfortable it stopped me in my tracks and brought me to tears.
Head to head, sibling to sibling.
Bounded before meeting, loving before knowing.
A beautiful peaceful moment despite the growing pain. A moment that wouldn't have been had without growing pains.

So I sink back.
Ride the waves.

It may be painful, but there is beauty in pain and moments that will come only because we have gone through it.

Simply going through growing pains, that's my Simple Moment, Bigger Picture this week. What's Yours?

Harness the moment. Write it down, share a picture, a poem or prose. However YOU need to process and remember the moment. All moments big and small.

Link up yours at Here! this week.

Try to visit the other participants and encourage each other in this journey we call life.

Such a tender moment - a full moment. I really like that last sentence. It's one for my quote journal. When I look back on painful things, I can see the beauty. Trick is seeing it in the moment. Really like this!

Oh, so sweet. I remember those moments well and they were my favorite. They made the growing pains way worth it.

So excited for you to meet your littlest one - SOON! :)

Finding the beauty in the pain lends life part of its appeal, yes. Thanks for this reminder on a morning that's been unsettling in more than a few ways.

"Loving before knowing" - love that phrase. I remember when I was pregnant with Allie and she was pushing out on my belly as reese rested her hand on me and pushed back against her. Such a precious moment. And well worth the pain!
