We have the flu.
Not just any cold that you say is the flu, full on influenza, probably A. It started February 16th with my son. It is now February 28th and while almost everyone is fever free and somewhat functioning we have 2.5 girls still coughing and drained and manflu lingering. Honestly this morning I couldn't tell you what day it was.
Routine has been thrown out the window.
There has been many tears. Lots of TV and lots and lots of sleep. Dinners have been sporadic, full of tears, or missed altogether. So when this happened tonight, I smiled:
It started when PBgirl asked if PBDad knew how to make a paper airplane. Than the book I got for my husband on our first anniversary (traditional gift is paper) on how to make simple paper airplanes came out.
Planes were made.
Planes were thrown.
The crying, tired toddler even got into throwing planes.
There was giggling, and laughing and chaos.
Exactly what we imagined when we choose this path of a big family. Loud, laughing, loving. Even if it means two weeks of quarantine every now and than as we pass the germ of the moment around.

Aw, I'm glad you got some fun and laughter even amidst the sickness. Hope you all feel better really soon!
One August everyone in our house except Daddy got pneumonia. We lost the entire month. It took me so long to feel I had restored our normal routine. My best to you in getting back to you!
