It has been the sound of our summer. The whizzing of scooters back and forth down the sidewalk. Three, six, nine, sometimes a dozen kids…

I don’t know why this summer became the summer of the scooter, they all have bikes. Maybe it was because everyone is equal on a scooter. The big kids (10) as well as the littlest ones (2) can play in the game and scooter up and down the street. No ones left behind because they can't ride.

With a newborn to care for this summer I have loved the new found obsession with their scooters. I lay back in my bed while feeding or cuddling a baby to sleep and just listen to the rhythmic

It allows me to experience their joy and fun even while I can’t be out there myself.

Back and forth, back and forth until the darkness settles in and everyone heads home.

The sticky: I am a Huffy Mom's on Bikes Ambassador. I  have been compensated for my time in producing posts on biking. My family also received bikes and safety equipment. As always all opinions and views expressed are my own.

We know those sounds well around here! Though, my oldest doesn't use a scooter anymore because she's too old. :(
