Warm and Cozy in Kowalli {Review}

Winter descends on the Midwest in a blink of an eye, before we know it the dark cold days will be here. While I don't mind winter I loathe having babies in winter, Trying to find warm but not bulky winter clothing and hats that stay over ears without covering eyes and boots that stay on...its a big pain.

When Kowalli contacted me about their products I was thrilled. I love mom-made products. Over at Little Lake County we feature mom businesses weekly. Not only is Kowalli a mom started company but they still use home based mom sewer to add those cute curly hat toppers! All Kowalli products are made at their factory in New England by a mom filled staff who care about putting children first.

We loved this set and not just because it looks like an old Bears helmet:

The ear flaps cover the ears without chin straps like others have so there is nothing to get in his mouth or for him to chew/drool on. The back is cut up a little shorter so it doesn't add to the bulk of coats. It's also a really warm fleece!

The booties are my favorite part. We are at the stage where he feet are too small for real shoes but getting too big for most booties. He also takes off everything I put on him, even the leather booties that are supposed to not come off! I had been on the lookout for something that would stay on his feet and keep them warm over the winter.  

From the looks of them you would think that they are cute but that a squirmy baby would have them kicked off in 1.2 seconds flat. I thought that too, until I put them on. 

You can't tell from the outside but there is an elastic on the inside layer that keeps the bootie snug on little feet. We been wearing them for a few weeks now and he has not been able to pull or kick them off, not even once.

After eight years and four kids it's hard to impress me, but these did! I wish I had them with my last winter baby!
